Hi crafty friends!
It seems that more & more of you have discovered our Value Packs – they are definitely the most popular way for our customers to purchase our collections. It makes sense really….why wouldn’t you want to get a DISCOUNT? Plus it’s just so easy. 1 click and you get 12 x 12″ papers, plus all the stickers, embellishments and stamps that make up the collection!
But, we know that not all of you use 12 x 12″ papers, or create scrapbook pages and large projects.
So today we have good news for all your card makers: we’ve just launched the first of our Card Making Value Packs. Designed for cards and other smaller projects, each pack includes 10 blank cards & envelopes, the 6 x 6″ paper pad, clear stamps, plus stickers and embellishments.
That’s everything you need for 10 cards, plus you will have enough left over for gift tags, gift embellishments, and tonnes of other smaller crafts!
You will really SAVE with our first two packs, which are the Sprinkled With Cheer Cardmaking Value Pack and the Hearth + Home Cardmaking Value Pack.

Today we want to share some ideas for cards that you can make using the items in each pack. Just follow the layouts below, but make them yours through your choice of papers and embellishments.
Let’s start with Sprinkled With Cheer Cardmaking Value Pack. This is such a fun collection of items that really brings the joy to both kids and adults.
Cut and layer 2 banner shapes (1 larger, 1 smaller) and place them in a central position. Choose a larger diecut shape as your focal point and build a frame of embellishments around it.
Sometimes quick & easy card ideas are all you need to help get through that big Christmas to-do list. take a big bold sentiment from your set of diecuts, place it on a base of 6 x 6″ paper, and embellish 2 opposite corners…voila!
Paper tearing is such a useful technique. It instantly adds texture and interest to any card or layout. In this case, 3 layers of torn blue paper create a full flurry of snowflakes falling from the sky.
Folded strips of paper add texture and dimension. It’s an easy technique – just fold each end of the strip under and back out before embellishing on top.
Create a border of diecut shapes to hide where your paper (or papers) join. In this case poinsettias and holly will make the perfect background to whatever Christmas motif you’d like to put in the centre.
It’s the season for silliness. The diagonal papers, explosion of christmas candy and confetti patterned paper gets the festivities started for these jolly characters.
If you prefer more traditional Christmas colours and classic motifs, then the Hearth + Home Cardmaking Value Pack lends itself to such chic cards that are warm and inviting. Let’s take a look at some ideas on the different cards you can make with this card making pack.
By placing your embellishments along the diagonal, you’ve still got space to add a sentiment. This card features not only a dimensional acetate deer (how adorable!) but the word ‘Joy’ has been added using a foil rub on.
Let’s all gather around the Christmas tree! The ‘room’ has been divided into a floor and wall using 2 sheets of contrasting 6 x 6″ papers, while the placement of the diecut shapes hides where the 2 edges meet.
A beautiful border of flowers, pine and berries stands out against a simple gingham background paper and stamped message. Always choose a mix of larger and smaller florals to give the effect of different layers.
Sometimes it’s about choosing the pieces that create a good base for your main motifs. A plaid heart and a spray of flowers and berries does just that – they literally would suit any piece that you chose to go on top.
Here is another example of how paper tearing takes a simple design to a whole other level. With no measuring involved, it also saves time when you have a tonne of Christmas cards to make but you still want to impress.
Let your favourite motifs shine by placing them in the centre of your card. Just frame them with a few other pieces both behind and on top, and a border at the top and bottom of your card.
We hope you feel inspired and ready to tackle that Christmas card list. Most of all we hope you have fun crafting.
This is just the start of our cardmaking pack releases and we will be updating you through our newsletter when more designs are available.
