Learn how to make this easy shutter card or use this layout design as a starting point for other card making projects. We’ve added a little veneer embellishment from Rosie’s Studio’s Lost and Found Collection.
Instructions:
Print the jpg onto A4 paper or card. Cut out each piece. Cut your cardstock to 148mm x 210mm (5-7/8” x 8-1/4”). Rather than folding this card in half along the 210mm base, you are going to create a simple shutter card. Score at 52mm (2-1/16″) and again at 157mm (6-5/16″). These 2 folds make your shutter card. Stick the striped paper to your card either side of the opening using double-sided tape. Then position the “forest” belly band as shown, you will need to cut this band in half before sticking it down using double-sided tape. Again with double-sided tape, stick the wood cabin icon to the cetre of the belly band on the left side of the card only. The second cabin icon can then be stuck to the top of this using foam tape, to create dimension on your card.
Lastly, stick down the flag banners using foam tape. As fun extra we painted a venner start from the upcoming Lost and Found Collection to our card, after we coloured it yellow and sprinkled it with glitter.
