exploding box card
You will need:
• A colour printer
• A4 paper or cardstock
• Scissors
• Adhesive: double-sided
• tape, or glue
If you haven’t made an exploding box card before then here’s your chance! Just download our pdf and print then follow the easy instructions for your very own DIY exploding box card.
They’re super effective and will impress whichever lucky person you choose to make one for!
Instructions:
Print the PDF onto A4 paper or cardstock. If you print onto paper, we suggest you then stick it onto cardstock to make it sturdier. Cut out each shape along the solid lines (Box Lid, Outside, Layers 1to 3). Score and fold on all the dashed lines.
BOX LID:
Cut along the 4 solid lines in each corner to create4 tabs. Stick each tab to the underside of the one next to itto create the sides of the lid.
BOX:
Stick the Outside (pattern side facing down) and Layer 1 (pattern side facing up) together completely. Stick Layer 2 (pattern side up) to the centre of Layer 1 (pattern side up). Stick Layer 3 (pattern side up) to the centre of Layer 2 (pattern side up). Fold all of the sides upwards, and put the lid on top to create your box.
EMBELLISH:
Cut out the additional sentiments and embellishments and stick them to the different layers of your box. Add other items from our Celebrate You collection for that extra touch!
